Your Homestay Journey Begins Here!
At HHS, we understand that your study abroad experience is a significant chapter in your life. That's why we're dedicated to making your time in New Zealand unforgettable. Our mission is to provide international students like you with the perfect homestay environment where you can thrive academically, culturally, and personally.
What You Can Expect from Our Homestay:
Safe Environment
Your safety and well-being are our top priorities. All of our registered host families need to pass our comprehensive safety check process, including a police vet check on all 18+ household members, reference check, interview, home inspection, and regular reviews.
Personal Growth
Our homestay program promotes personal development and self-discovery. You are expected to follow some house rules, join in family activities, and share your thoughts. It's a good opportunity to improve your communication skills, build your confidence, and learn to be a responsible person.
Comfortable Home
Your host family will provide you with a private, comfortable and well furnished room, nutritious meals, access to home amenities and utilities, and more. From the moment you arrive, your host family will welcome you with open arms, making you feel like part of their family.
Cultural Immersion
Living with a local family is a unique way to experience the authentic New Zealand culture and custom. Your English language skills will also significantly improve from the everyday conversations and activities with your friendly host families.
Care & Support
Your caring host family will help you adjust to any difficulties that may occur with your new experience in a foreign country. From purchase of a bus card to visit to a doctor, your host family is happy to give you support and guidance whenever you need them.
Professional Management
You'll have the direct contact of a HHS homestay coordinator who oversees your homestay arrangement. Our dedicated staff will keep in touch with you and will assist you throughout your homestay journey. We'll strive to resolve any concerns or complaints professionally.
